A quick note about availability: Currently I have limited openings for new clients. If you also have limited availability, it might be helpful to let me know the days/times that you can or cannot meet. That way we will find out if our schedules work before we get too far into the process.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor providing online and in-person therapy in Raleigh, NC. My experience enables me to offer extremely effective outpatient, individualized psychological care.
Visiting this site means you are probably facing some challenges in life. It takes courage to seek help, and I commend you for taking the first step.
My areas of focus include helping adults with social anxiety, adult/high functioning autism, ADHD, depression, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, agoraphobia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Social anxiety can feel overwhelming, and if untreated can lead to lower quality of life as you slowly isolate yourself from others. The feeling of a lack of control and a lack of understanding as to why it's happening often result in depression. Fortunately, both social anxiety and depression can be effectively addressed with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
As your counselor, my focus is to provide you with a safe, comfortable, supportive environment where you can express yourself without judgement, without shame, and with acceptance. I enjoy working with clients regardless of race/ethnicity, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation. Working together we will develop your individual counseling goals and a plan to achieve those goals. See the Therapy page for more information about therapy with me. While I have worked with those 14 years old and older, I work mostly with adults now.
